Minna Nilsson photographer

I took my first photos when I was three. I've always lent mum and dad's cameras. But it wasn't until dad bought a digital camera in 2003 I became really interested. At a vacation with the family I had nothing to do, played around with the camera a bit and was hooked for real. Two years later I bought my own camera, a Canon Powershot S2 IS.

I photographed a lot! Always had the camera by my side and it was a way to escape reality. In August 2007 I bought my first DSLR, a Nikon D50, and I developed a lot, it was an amazing experience. My old camera wasn't bad, I just had grown out of it. The DSLR was my way to heaven at that time. I started to think about starting my own business and January 2009 it became reality.

Just a few days later did my dear D50 broke and I had to get a new one, can't have a business without a camera. I had for a while thought of getting the D700 so it was a natural choice and I love the camera, it really leave the result up to me, and not depending on the camera.

And here I am today. With my own business and the camera of my dreams haha.

But who am I? I love the medieval times. So one can be sure of finding me on Medeltidsveckan on Gotland every year. I shoot (mostly) with 14th century crossbows and modern gun. Have shot with crossbows since the age of seven and even though it's rare nowadays it's still an important part of my life.

Nature, folk music, beautiful things, fairytales and creating things no matter in which material is other things I love besides being with friends and family.
